Ortho-Bionomy

Gentle bodywork that starts with comfort.

Ortho-Bionomy works with the body's own responses. It is slow, non-forceful, and guided by what feels easier rather than by pushing through discomfort.

What it is

A body-led approach.

Ortho-Bionomy is a gentle form of bodywork. The practitioner uses comfortable positioning, small movements, and attentive touch to support the body's ability to settle and reorganise.

It does not use forceful manipulation. The work pays attention to ease, balance, and the places where the body is already ready to soften.

How it works

Listening comes before changing.

In a session, Karina follows what the body shows through posture, movement, breath, muscle tone, and comfort. The aim is to invite recognition rather than correction.

The work can also involve the body's natural energetic responses, such as shifts in warmth, breath, quietness, or a sense of space. Karina treats these responses in a grounded and practical way: as useful information from the body, not as something separate from it.

What it can help with

People often come with pain, tension, stress, or postural patterns.

Neck, back, shoulder, or hip tension

Muscular tightness and guarded movement

Postural habits that feel hard to change

Stress, fatigue, and a nervous system that needs settling

General body awareness and ease after strain

This work is not a replacement for medical care. It can sit alongside other support when that is appropriate.

What a session feels like

Calm, unhurried, and gentle.

Sessions are usually quiet and steady. You stay clothed, and Karina works with comfortable positions so the body can sense what feels easier.

Some people notice a clear change straight away. Others notice small shifts over the following hours or days. The pace is simple: listen, respond, pause, and let the body take its time.
